I’ve had the honour of having some yarn sent to me to test out. It’s a new baby yarn from Paintbox Yarns and it’s incredibly soft!! It’s made from a cozy acrylic/nylon blend.
I’ve come up with an idea of what to make with it and I’m going to get started today.
If you’ve never seen the Paintbox Yarns collection, you can find it at loveknitting.com. Or click here to see their new Baby DK yarns!
Off to start my project!
So! It’s finally starting to get chilly out there!
How about knitting an infinity scarf to keep you warm? Click here for the FREE pattern!
This scarf is really warm since it’s knit with 2 strands of yarn at one time.
It’s a great weekend project, so what are you waiting for?
The “Peacock” Stroller Blanket pattern is now available to purchase over in my Etsy shop, in my Craftsy store and at loveknitting.com.
This basket weave blanket is perfect to tuck baby in for an afternoon walk in the park. Whether it be for an added layer now or as the only layer in the Spring, it’s sure to end up being the “go to” stroller blanket!
It’s made with approximately 600 yards of Aran weight yarn and US size 8 needles. It utilizes only knit and purl stitches with simple colour changes so it’s a great pattern for a beginner knitter.
Well, I was almost done my “Peacock” blanket so I thought it would be a good time to start another project!! It just didn’t seem right to only have 1 project on the go!! LOL!!
Burberry was my inspiration for this blanket. I love the classic tan, black and red. This blanket is knit lengthwise to get the vertical stripes.
I have to say, it’s going to be one of my bigger blankets! It will be the PERFECT lapghan size measuring, I hope, about 40″ x 48″.
Well, off to do some knitting! Now I have two blankets to get finished and get the patterns written for!
I’ve finished quite a few projects in the last little while and of course, had left over yarn. I knew I didn’t have enough to make a full sized baby blanket (what I’ve been making lately!) but I did have enough to make a stroller blanket!
I had a few different colours left over and wanted some inspiration for a colour combination. So I went onto Pinterest and in the “search” area I typed in the different colours I had left over and looked through the images that popped up.
Here’s the photo I picked as my inspiration photo:
And here’s the start of the stroller blanket:
I’ll be starting on the third colour soon and then writing the pattern so stay tuned! I’m going to call it “Peacock”.
And just a reminder, I’m giving away FREE patterns this week! Simply “like” my Facebook page and then send me an email at email@example.com with your email address and I’ll send you the pattern of your choice!
