I just want to say thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who voted for my pattern for the “Pattern of the Month” over at loveknitting.com!
This month was a first for them, as it was a tie between my pattern and another one so I’m sharing the spot light! But that’s o-kay! I think the more winners, the better. 😉
Anyways, thank you again!
I always appreciate your support!
Diana
I love this and want to make it with the exact same yarn and colors. Can you tell me what you used?

Hi Stacy. I used Main Street Shiny & Soft yarns however, I found out they are no longer available. A nice alternative is Caron Simply Soft yarn. You can use off white, grey heather and charcoal heather. The number of yards in a ball are less than in the Main Street yarns so buy accordingly. Here is a link to a website who sells the yarn if you need to order some! Happy knitting! https://www.yarncanada.ca/categories/caron-yarn/shop-by-product-line/simply-soft-yarn.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwuietsHk3gIVyEsNCh3-jgQDEAAYAiAAEgLq-vD_BwE

Hi Diana, I am excited about starting the Back Porch Shawl but when reading the directions, is it correct to cast on 3 stitches? Only 3?
Do you know approximately how many stitches I will have at the end to cast off? I know it depends on the yarn, but an approx number would help.
Thank you.

Hello Adriana. I do not know how many stitches I ended up with. I just kept knitting the yarn I had until I had no more. I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help. Please email me at diana.poirier@yahoo.ca if you have any more questions. Happy knitting!
