Not for me…

Well, I’m going to have to say this working everyday thing is REALLY cutting into my knitting time!! LOL!!

I usually can get a few rows in at night, but not much more than that!

I have to really try, though, in the next couple of weeks to get my project done for Paintbox Yarns! I told them I would have the pattern ready for mid August and I still have a whole other side of the garment to make, take the photos, and write the pattern! YIKES!!

Here’s hoping tonight I can make a dent in it!

Happy knitting!

Sunday knitting & a baby blanket…

Hello everyone!

Since starting a new job recently, I don’t have nearly as much time as I used to to knit. 😦 So it’s turning out that Sundays are my knitting days.

Today I’ve started a baby blanket.

My husband’s co-worker is expecting a baby in October and since I  LOVE knitting baby blankets,  I thought I would knit one for him and his wife.

They don’t know the gender of the baby, so I chose this beautiful green yarn by Caron as opposed to the standard gender neutral yellow.  I adore the vibrancy of this colour!

I got the idea for this blanket from one I saw on Pinterest.  I really liked it because the body of the blanket is knit on a diagonal.  If you would like to make one too, you can click here for the pattern.

Off to work on the blanket some more.  It’s a hot one today, so I’ll be staying indoors!

Happy knitting!

And the winner is…

I just want to say thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who voted for my pattern for the “Pattern of the Month” over at loveknitting.com!

This month was a first for them, as it was a tie between my pattern and another one so I’m sharing the spot light!  But that’s o-kay!  I think the more winners, the better. 😉

Anyways, thank you again!

I always appreciate your support!

My husband’s hat and scarf…

Happy Saturday everyone!

I completed my husband’s hat and scarf.  He’s quite pleased with how it turned out and was even willing to model it for me despite his scruffy face.  He’s good like that! 😉

I really enjoy doing small, easy projects in between the larger, more complicated ones.  It gives me the little change of scenery I need to stay motivated.

I found some cotton yarn while tidying up my yarn stash the other day, and I’m still in the small, easy project mode, so I think I’ll make some toner pads!

Happy knitting!

New pattern sneak peek…

Hello there!

Here’s a little sneak peek of the new project I’m working on for PaintBox yarns available over at loveknitting.com.

I’m using the Aran weight yarn and it’s just wonderful to work with.

The pattern won’t be launching until mid to late August, so I’ll be sharing some more sneaks before then, so stay tuned!

It’s raining here today, so a perfect day to knit!  I hope you get to fit some knitting in today too! 😀
