The “Peacock” Stroller Blanket pattern is now available to purchase over in my Etsy shop, in my Craftsy store and at loveknitting.com.
This basket weave blanket is perfect to tuck baby in for an afternoon walk in the park. Whether it be for an added layer now or as the only layer in the Spring, it’s sure to end up being the “go to” stroller blanket!
It’s made with approximately 600 yards of Aran weight yarn and US size 8 needles. It utilizes only knit and purl stitches with simple colour changes so it’s a great pattern for a beginner knitter.
Today I’m sharing a FREE pattern – the Basket Weave cushion cover.

I’m done! I’ve finished my first cushion cover!
I’m just thrilled with how it turned out! And I was even able to match up the pattern on the seams!
If you want to make one of your own, you can click here to see the pattern.
I’ve decided to make more cushion covers for the cushions on my couch, but in different stitches for variety (I’ve already started the second one!) so I will post those when I’m done too.
But right now I’ve off to sew up my husband’s socks. I also finished those yesterday and he mentioned he would like them for the weekend!
Well, I’m almost done knitting my first cushion cover and I’m loving how it’s turning out! I’m using the classic basket weave pattern.
I’m hoping to have it all done by tomorrow so stay tuned. I’ll post the finished product AND my pattern!
I’m so thrilled!
In my last post, I mentioned when I’m making socks, I have a bit of a hard time increasing my stitches and I always end up with holes or gaps.
Well, not this time!! By the time I got to the toes on these socks, I increased my stitches WITHOUT any holes!! Woo hoo! I guess it just takes a lot of practice! 😀
Well, I’m off to finish up the socks and work a bit on some cushion covers I’m making for the cushions on my couch. Yes, I started ANOTHER project!! With my hat finished that I started last week, I only had 2 projects on the go and since 3 in my favourite number… 😉
