It’s off the needles…

I’m done!!! 😁 Well, I still have to sew it together, but it’s off my needles!

I pinned it together so I could try it on, and I’m so happy with how it turned out.

I don’t have a name yet though. 🤔 Maybe I’ll come up with one this weekend!

It’s finally supposed to warm up, so I’m hoping to get in the pool for a swim!

Happy Sunday!

A shower gift…

I’ve just finished knitting this baby blanket for a friend for a shower gift!

Now onto the sweater and hat that will be a part of the gift too.

Baby girl is due early April, so I just might be done in time! 🤞

What have you’ve been working on lately?

The Ripple Effect sweater…

I took some photos today of my Ripple Effect Sweater.

I’ve updated the pattern a bit so I wanted to take photos of the new one I made that reflects a better fit.

The updated version is now available in my Etsy shop and over at lovecrafts.com.

It’s a great sweater to transition you from Winter to Spring. 🦋

Happy knitting!

PATTERN RELEASE – River Rocks Swoncho

Introducing the River Rocks Swoncho – incredibly versatile; worn as a sweater, it’s perfect for chilly days or as a cozy piece at home. Or wear it as a poncho, an extra layer when heading outdoors on cold days, offering warmth and comfort wherever you go.

This seed stitch swoncho is created using 2 strands of yarn at one time. Constructed of 2 pieces knit separately and sewn together, makes this pattern great for knitters looking to knit their first garment.

I’m certain it will become a go-to piece in your wardrobe.

Available in my Etsy shop and over at lovecrafts.com.

Happy Knitting!

River Rocks Swoncho…

My “River Rocks Swoncho” is done!

It’s the ultimate big, cozy sweater that’s perfect paired with your favourite leggings. Or wear it as a poncho!

It’s knit in 2 pieces using 2 strands of yarn held at one time and seamed together so perfect for the beginner knitter.

I still have to finish writing out the pattern and take pictures so the pattern should be ready to release by mid January.

Stay tuned! 😁

A Swoncho?

Another simple sweater I’m knitting using Caron Simply Soft yarn in Charcoal Heather.

Some may think it’s a poncho, but it’s going to be sewn together more like a sweater.

Maybe it should be called a swoncho??? 🤔 Lol!

What are you working on today?

Last blanket for a while…

I finished knitting this blanket on the weekend. It will be my last one for awhile as I start to focus again on pattern writing. 🙂

This weekend I also managed to take photos of the cardigan I just finished.

Now to get the pattern written. That’s the most time consuming part. 🙄

I’ve already started a couple of more projects I plan on writing patterns for and I have a ton of ideas swirling around in my head for more! LOL! If only I could knit as fast as I think up ideas!

So, off now to go and get my cardigan pattern written up. I’ve decided to name it “The Tata Cardigan” because it reminds me of a sweater my grandfather on my mother’s side used to wear. We called him “Tata”!

I hope you have a great week and you find some time to knit! 🧶

What have I been doing???

Knitting blankets!! LOTS and lots of blankets. LOL!

I do have a cardigan pattern I’m working on, and I’m hoping to get that out before the end of October, but please don’t hold me to that. 😁

If you want to keep up to date with Peartree Knitting, the best way to do that is by following me on Instagram at –  peartreeknitting. I post my going-ons regularly on there.

I hope everyone has been well and as busy knitting as I’ve been! 😊

Have a wonderful day.

So many baby blankets…

Hi there.

Still working away on the baby blankets. I have 3 done so far! I really love the colours! So Springy!! 💐

I still haven’t decided if I’m going to sell them on Etsy, just put them up on my Facebook page for local purchase or maybe just give them away! LOL! 🤔

I have started another one and will probably be done soon. It’s a soft, pale pink!

Well, off to finish up the next blanket.

Have a wonderful day!

Light Country Peach…

Well hello there.

I wanted to share with you the next colour in my Spring/Summer baby blanket palette – Light Country Peach. 🍑

I’m trying to get a few blankets knit before putting them up in my Etsy shop for sale. I’m planning on having a Spring/Summer collection and then a Fall/Winter collection all based on 2024 colour trends for nurseries.

Below are images of nurseries that inspired the light country peach colour. Aren’t they gorgeous?

Well, off the start blanket number 3. The next colour up is “Persimmon” and it’s such a beautiful, vibrant colour. I can’t wait for you to see it.

Have a great day!
