The Coffee Shop Cardigan…

Meet the Coffee Shop Cardigan ☕💙

She’s officially finished and looking for her new home.

Designed with an effortless, relaxed silhouette, the Coffee Shop Cardigan is lightweight enough for layering while still giving you that cozy, wrapped-up feeling.

The kind of cardigan you’ll reach for with your morning coffee, weekend errands, or a quiet evening curled up with a good book.

The oversized fit is intentionally versatile, making it flattering on a variety of body types – perfectly slouchy on a women’s medium and a little more tailored on a women’s extra large.

For reference, I’m 5’4″ and wear a women’s large.

I still need to take some photos and add her to the website, but if you’ve had your eye on her, send me a message! I’m currently shipping anywhere in Ontario for a flat rate.

Have a great Sunday!

My Cardigan Prototype…

I’m excited to share with you my almost complete cardigan prototype that I’ll be offering for sale – “The Coffee Shop Cardigan”.

Of the people who answered my poll, the majority asked for a neutral, solid colour, lightweight oversized cardigan and I listened.

I will be making these also in even more neutral colours like Mink, Slate and Driftwood. This one is Caribbean Blue and I have started one in Juniper.

Eventually they will be offered in bulky weight too.

Well, off to get this cardigan done. I’m so looking forward to this next chapter of my knitting story!

County Road Cardigan…

I’m over here still sewing up projects! 🪡

Meet the County Road Cardigan. I hope to have the pattern out late Fall. It’s created in 2 pieces that are sewn together, so will be great for beginner knitters.

I used a tweed yarn from Caron Simply Soft giving the cardigan a wonderful texture.

I have one more project to sew up and that is for a customer. Hopefully will get that done this weekend too!

It’s a beautiful sunny day here, so off for a dip in the pool.

p.s. don’t mind the dog crate in the picture. 🐾 We’re still training our puppy.

PATTERN RELEASE – The Mountain Cabin Cardigan

After much delay, The Mountain Cabin Cardigan is now AVAILABLE!

This cardigan is cozy and oversized and I know it’s destined to become your favourite on chilly days.

Designed with full-length sleeves and a flattering mid-thigh length, this cardigan features classic ribbing along the hem and cuffs. It’s knit seamlessly in one piece and then sewn together.

The beautiful marled effect is achieved by holding two strands of yarn together and working them as one throughout.

The pattern is now available in my Etsy shop and over at Lovecrafts so go and grab a copy TODAY!

Photos…✔️

I finally got the photos taken of my Mountain Cabin Cardigan for my pattern.

The final step to publishing my pattern is to get it written up and then published.

Oh, I do have to still make a little video on how to pick up the stitches for the cuffs! 😬 Oh boy!

I was hoping to have this pattern out at the end of last year, but we were so busy with the holidays it didn’t happen. 🙄

But it’s coming! I promise! 😁

Happy Sunday everyone!

Pattern coming…

So, my Mountain Cabin Cardigan is now complete! 😁 Well, a couple of ends to weave in still, but I’ll do that today.

It’s thick and cozy and oversized and a perfect cardigan for the upcoming chilly days.

I’m hoping to have the pattern published by the end of the year (maybe sooner? 🤞), so stay tuned.

Happy November! 🍂

Off the needles…

I got my Mountain Cabin Cardigan off the needles last night!

Just have to add the cuffs, sew it up and reinforce the edges in the front so they sit more flat. Then it will be completely done! 😉 Oh, and weave in the ends!! Lol!

This was actually a pretty quick knit. I used 2 strands of Aran weight yarn held together and large needles.

I’m not too sure when I’ll have the pattern ready, but hopefully before the end of the year! 🤞

Have a wonderful day!

What have I been doing???

Knitting blankets!! LOTS and lots of blankets. LOL!

I do have a cardigan pattern I’m working on, and I’m hoping to get that out before the end of October, but please don’t hold me to that. 😁

If you want to keep up to date with Peartree Knitting, the best way to do that is by following me on Instagram at –  peartreeknitting. I post my going-ons regularly on there.

I hope everyone has been well and as busy knitting as I’ve been! 😊

Have a wonderful day.
