PATTERN RELEASE – Summer Breeze Bolero

Hello everyone!

I’m thrilled to let you know my Summer Breeze Bolero pattern is now available!

Head on over to lovecrafts.com and get your copy for FREE!

And a huge thank you to Paintbox Yarns for the yarn support! Their Cotton DK yarn was wonderful to work with.

This is an intermediate pattern involving yarn overs, slipped stitches and passing slipped stitches over, however, I made a little video showing you how to do the more difficult stitches, so I suggest you give it a try even if you’re a beginner knitter! I really hope you do!

Now off to finish up other patterns I’ve only half completed! LOL! Have a great day everyone.

Happy knitting!

Thank you Paint Box Yarns for your support!

Now off to get this pattern written!

Jacinta’s Hillside Blanket…

Hey there!

Jacinta shared with me her finished Hillside Blanket.

Isn’t it gorgeous!!??

She downloaded my pattern then contacted me because she wanted to “adult” size the blanket.

She made her blanket 45″ x 72″ by casting on 165 stitches and used 15 balls of Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky available at lovecrafts.com.

If you have used one of my patterns and wish to share a photo, I would certainly love that!

And thank you Jacinta for sharing your gorgeous blanket with us!!

Happy knitting everyone.

Baby blankets done…

Hello there!

So, I managed to complete the 2 baby blankets I was working on, BUT, totally forgot to take pictures of them! UGH! 😦

They were both stroller blankets – about 25″ x 35″ – knit in the garter stitch with an I-cord edge.  You’ll have to trust me when I say, they turned out just darling!

I have since started on a new project.

Here’s a little sneak peek.

I’m using 100% cotton Paintbox yarns in a slate grey and off white.  The vertical stripes are created using knit and purl stitches with a bunch of slipped stitches in there! It’s a really fun pattern!

So, I’m going to try and finish up a couple of patterns I’m working on and get them up for sale! It’s been quite some time since I’ve written anything new.

So, again my apologies for not sharing photos of the the completed baby blankets!  I promise it won’t happen again! LOL!

Happy knitting!

Chilly Day Poncho…

My “Chilly Day Poncho” pattern is now available exclusively over at loveknitting.com!

DSCN8147

It’s knit using 2 strands of Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran yarn held together making it a super warm and thick poncho.

Knit in 2 pieces and sewn together, this pattern is great for a knitter looking to make their first garment.

Head on over and download your pattern today!

Happy knitting!

Baby blanket…done!

Hello everyone!

I was happy I found some time today to do some knitting.

I managed to finish the baby blanket I was making for my husband’s co-worker.

The blanket is based on a pattern I found on Pinterest. Click HERE to read it.

It’s super easy to follow. Instead of adding 3 stripes at the one corner, I did one big stripe in off white.

I used Caron Simply Soft yarn and US size 8 needles.

I have a pattern that’s due mid August for Paintbox Yarns and I’m “this close” to getting it done, so off I go to finish it!

Happy knitting.
