Good morning everyone!
Well, I have 2 projects on the go I was hoping to have completed and the patterns written for them by now, BUT, it’s the middle of November and I have yet to start even one Christmas present!!
So the projects will have to wait!!
And if you haven’t started your Christmas knitting yet and you’re looking for some inspiration, click here to view all the free patterns I offer. You can also check out my Etsy store, Craftsy and loveknitting.com for my other patterns I have for sale.
Well, off to start my first Christmas present!
Loveknitting is having their BIG November sale with up to 70% off selected yarns!!
You don’t want to miss it!
Just click on the banner on the right (it looks like the image below) and you’ll be redirected straight to the SALES!!
My “Horizon” cushion cover pattern is now available for sale over at loveknitting.com.
I created it to go with the “Lost At Sea” cushion cover. I used 100% Rico cotton. I just LOVE this yarn! It knits up so well.
Such a great simple weekend project for the beginner knitter!
Did you know that loveknitting.com is having a HUGE winter sale?
Why don’t you check it out??
Hurry. Because it’s all over at the end of January!!
I just wanted to share some dish cloths that I made for my neighbour.
She is the sweetest lady always baking us cookies, so I wanted to make something for her to say “Thank you”.
The pattern for the dish cloth is FREE and you can find it here.
I used Rico Creative Cotton Aran for the dish cloths that I purchased from loveknitting.com.
They have so many different colours and it’s great to work with.
So I’ve decided that 2017 is going to be a year of knitting socks and pillow cushion covers. I already have my first pillow cushion cover on the needles and a shopping cart of yarn over at loveknitting.com for the socks just waiting to be purchased (I want to get my pillow cushion cover done first, but I don’t know if I can wait!! LOL!!)
I hope you have plans to do a ton of knitting in 2017 too!
Happy New Year!
I can’t believe it’s December on Thursday and I’ve only just begun making my Christmas presents.
Not to say I haven’t been knitting, because I have; only I’ve made hats for my husband and son because the weather had taken a turn for the colder!!
The hat I made for my husband was inspired by his favourite sweater! I really liked how it turned out so I wrote a pattern for it! 😀
It’s double knit using 2 strands of yarn at one time making it super warm!
You can find the pattern here over at loveknitting.com.
I have my sister and brother-in-law coming this weekend and I have to get their presents done so I’ll be knitting like a crazy lady for the next few days!
I’m just stopping by to share with you a baby blanket I made.
I’ll be making a few of them to send to my hometown’s hospital Neonatal department. A friend back home asked on Facebook if anyone could help and I said I would.
I love making baby blankets, but the opportunity doesn’t arise too often so I jumped at the chance to make some for the hospital.
You can click here for the free pattern.
I used Stylecraft Special DK yarn in Lemon and Meadow green. I double knit the blanket using 2 strands of yarn at one time to make it super cozy. You can purchase the yarn over at loveknitting.com.

Here’s a sneak peek:
Over the weekend, I decided to use up some cotton yarn I had left from another project and make a dish towel.
It was a really fast project and super simple utilizing only the Garter stitch (knitting every row).
I used Rico Creative Cotton Aran from loveknitting.com for this project. It’s one of my favourite yarns to work with.
Well, off to start another dish towel. This time I’m going to make one to go with the dish cloth I made the other weekend.
